“In regard to transportation, we wear many hats. As an employer, we need to be able to have employees get to and from work quickly, in a safe and reasonable manner. As a contractor, we need to be able to get goods and services brought to and taken from our facilities in a similar fashion. Added delays add cost. As a good citizen, we are concerned about the quality of life in the community, and appropriate transportation is key to enjoying a good quality of life.

Bill is director of human resources operations and employment at Northrop Grumman Newport News. Named to this position in 2003, he is responsible for human resources administration, employment and recruitment for the largest industrial employer in Virginia. He began his career with the Newport News sector in 1986 and has held increasingly responsible positions including associate counsel, director of international naval marketing, director of U.S. naval marketing, and director of security.
